I've been here plenty of times and have loved this place from my very first visit. The atmosphere is always kind and welcoming, and the work is consistently exceptional from every single piercer. Most recently, I worked with Cat and Hernan.

I especially wanted to shout out Hernan for my navel piercing. He did a phenomenal job. He was communicative and completely open to my requests.

It's been about three days now, and I'm honestly surprised by how little soreness and discomfort I've had. I'm a bigger guy with a stomach, so I was a little concerned about how a navel piercing would feel, especially since it's a high movement area. But after the first 12 hours, there is very little soreness, and I'm already noticing less discomfort when I move.

I think a lot of that has to do with Hernan's skill and attention to placement. He checked the placement while I was standing, sitting, and laying down to see how my stomach and navel moved and sat in each position. That level of care really stood out to me and should be standard  but isn't everywhere which is why I always go here. 

For any plus size person wondering if a navel piercing is possible or will heal well, it definitely will! It's more about your individual anatomy than your size, but having a knowledgeable piercer who understands anatomy of all sizes makes a huge difference.

I decided on a whim on my birthday I'd get my ears pierced. And I'm so glad I found studio city tattoo. I called to ask if they take walk ins and they did so I headed on over. I'm a full grown adult but I was scared to get my ears pierced but the whole staff was so amazing everyone greeted me kindly and I had Pearla as my piercer and she was so calm, kind and patient with me. I was very dramatic and kept stalling but she talked me through the whole process and took the time to answer all my questions and again was so patient with me when I know I was being extra she made me feel comfortable and the process was so easy I definitely was overthinking it. When I got my first piercing on my belly button at another shop, it was crooked and got infected easily. I took it out and then came here. The person who pierced me was shocked at how off center and bad the scarring was. Now, my piercing is amazing and has healed so great! I also got my tongue pierced here and the experience was amazing plus the person (Perla) talked me through what I needed to do to maintain it thoroughly. I as well got my eyebrow pierced a while back here and my experience was so good! I laughed with the piercer and bonded and I didn't even notice the pain. Have taken multiple friends to this place for piercings because we like the whimsical ambience, but I can't speak for the quality myself. We were told after I had filled the waiver out that the wait would be 40 minutes. After an hour and a half, the clients that were waiting before me were still waiting, and it was clear we weren't getting service any time soon. Love this place. I had a great experience working with Josh on my tattoo! I had an idea of what I wanted, but I'm not a visual artist. I gave him a raw sketch, he executed it beautifully and was totally patient and helpful during the process. This gem was recommended to me years ago by my friend who is very particular with his ink. The fact that this place is pirate themed already makes you want to bask in the ambience and feel even more badass. I was fortunate to find Jim Down; the charming British soul that we don't deserve. He is a very talented artist who is also honest & gentle. I feel very blessed to have found him. He made my dream of having my dad's beautiful handwriting always with me a reality. Be sure to check out his work and if you're one of the lucky ones; his talent will grace your body one day.

I had a great experience at Studio City Tattoo, working with Sawooli who is a totally pro artist. I had come in early, the staff was polite and took the time to talk over my design idea before pairing me up with an artist, even got me in the same day! 

The process from there was good, they made me feel welcome and comfortable. Sawooli drafted a very cool design with a couple variants to pick from. 

The tattoo process itself was less painful than my prior tattoo at a different studio even with multi colors; honestly not bad at all for the time needed.

Pricing was totally fair for the high quality of work. The shop was clean, and organized with a cool pirate vibe.

Went here a month or two ago for a quick jewelry change on my nose piercing. While the change itself went smoothly and no issues, this was probably the most unwelcoming environment I've ever been in at any tattoo shop. I felt like I was inconveniencing them for being there. When I was trying to tip the woman who did my piercing, I was met with attitude when the tip button wasn't working for me on the device. Not a great feeling when you're trying to give someone additional money and you're met with an annoyed/impatient attitude for something out of your control. Shout out to studio city tattoo for taking a painful, hard day and turning it into a memorable special day for my wife. It's the first Mother's Day without her mom and with  SAWOOLI and other staff at Studio City Tattoo help we were able to help make a sad day slightly better. 
The environment felt safe and comfortable  enough allowing her to grieve while we waited for SAWOOLI to get the tattoos ready.

I've been going here for a few years now and consistently have good experiences. I've been pierced by a few of their piercers (mostly by Hernan) and tattooed by Josh, and have special-ordered gold jewelry. Everyone here is so nice and professional, they're all so experienced and knowledgeable. The shop is clean and often busy! Definitely go here!
